Lots of big steps today. Molly was moved off the Clinitron bed onto an air bed which will make it easier to get off of it. The down side to that is that she will have to deal with sore muscles, which is already becoming an issue. She is now off all of her IV's. That is huge. She continues to heal and she is making big strides with physical therapy. She still has quite a way to go before she will be released, but each day we are one day closer.
Christine, the teen rec therapist, had a smoothie party for her and lots of people showed up and stayed late. That was fun! Thank you Christine! I am so happy that Molly's friends are hanging in there with her. Most of them will be off to school in a few weeks and we will miss them tremendously.
Mallory, how is the show coming? It doesn't look like we will be able to get out to see it and I am sorry for that. Somebody go see the Wiz at the Space Theater for me and tell me all about it.
Peggy, Molly loves the quilt. Thank you.
Marci, you have made all of this so much easier for everyone. We owe you so much.
Katy, thanks for the night off. You are such a good sister. Have a beautiful day! Love you.

Hey, great progress! Way to go! Since you're having such a great day, I thought I'd tell you about my two blonde friends in Colorado..maybe you know them? They're sitting on a bench talking and one blonde says to the other, "Which do you think is farther away...Florida or the moon?" The other blonde turns and says "Hellooooooooo!?!?! Can you see Florida????" Anyway, if you see my two friends on a bench nearby, say Hi for me!
Have a great day!! :) -Jen

Dear Molly,
What a tremendous day yesterday was. So many little steps made for a huge leap! Have you caught your breath yet?

Hope that sports model works out well for you. Stay under the speed limit til you get the stabilizer bar! I'll have to make a lap quilt with racing stripes or maybe flames.

I will drag Mike up after he gets home. I'm thinking you'll be needing a massage by then. I'll be up before then, promise.
love you much. Aunt Peggy

Way to go Molly. Each day I read the blog, you seem to be getting better.

I know it will be difficult when your friends leave for school, but please remember that tons of people here to support you daily.

Hello Bob, Bernie, Katy, and Molly,
I think the reason Molly's friends have hung in there is because they are true friends and know Molly would do the same for them. It sure sounds like a good group. It's also way cool to hear Molly is getting better. Way to go Molly.
Today I have a couple more questions I need answered.

1) If a mime is arressted does he have the right to remain silent?

2) What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?

3) How do they get deer to cross only at those yellow road signs?

4) If you try to fail but succeed, which have you done?

5) When yogurt goes bad, how can you tell?

I also was thinking that one nice thing about egotists is they don't talk about other people. But I went to a bookstore yesterday and asked the clerk where the self help section was. She said that if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
Stay strong and stay cool,
Denver Bob

It's so encouraging to read Molly's daily progress and realize her tremendous achievements already. Yesterday when it rained the girls were hoping Molly was "feelin' it". The kids will soon be going to school but we know at the rate Molly's going, she'll be right there with them in no time. And until that time you can be sure - as with yesterday welcome rains, Molly is never far from our thoughts...

I read this everyday before I ride my bike at lunch. I ride a little harder and little faster for Molly. I would give her my legs for a day if I could, just so she could swim and run and do all the things that a young person should be doing at this time in her life. My thoughts are with you and your family... everyday!

Hi,

We all move thru this life with its twists and turns. Much is outside our control, yet we find strength and learn about caring for one another along the way...
