Another weekend in the hospital. For all of those people who have had to deal with a loved one in the hospital for an extended period of time, my heart and prayers go out to you. For the most part, hospitals run on a Monday thru Friday schedule. The weekends get very lonely. The staff is smaller, the cafeteria closes early, the doctors are on call. It is not a good idea to be sick on the weekend.
Every day, Molly faces a new challenge. Her wounds are still a long way from healed, but despite the pain, she gets up and works hard at getting her life back. I don't think I would have the courage to do what she does. She is my inspiration. I love you Molly.

Hello Bob, Bernie, Katy and Molly, Molly, You are what a true hero is. Someone who takes a bad situation and really works hard to make it a better situation. Your mother is right when she says you are an inspiration. You are doing what a lot of people couldn't. May God bless you.
I noticed something after the soccer world games:

In 1981 the following occured:
1) Prince Charles got married
2) Liverpool was crowned soccer champions of Europe.
3) Australia lost the Ashes tournament.
4) The Pope died

In 2005 the following occured:
1) Prince Charles got married
2) Liverpool was crowned soccer champions of Europe.
3) Australia lost the Ashes tournament.
4) The Pope died.

Next time Prince Charles gets married somebody should warn the Pope!!
Stay strong and stay cool,
Denver Bob

Bernie,
Don't despair about the lonliness of the hospital, maybe that's your time to reflect on what has happened and what will be. In a short time the hospital will be a distant memory.
Read books to each other, drink milkshakes, and make some big dreams...and then try to make them come true.
Tomorrow is Monday, keep Molly's spirits up however you can!
All the love in the world,
Joni

To the powerful and inspirational Bloom Family. You folks are tough. You epitomize "when the situation is tough, the tough get going". Thanks for the inspiration you have given thosands of us. For your information, the "Mollypalooza" was mentioned in todays Daily Press here in Hampton, Virginia. It mentioned how Jessica Biel was involved and why. You continue to hang tough Molly and soon you will be out of there. Don't know why Denver Bob hasn't told you/us about how to fish with starch. His levity is good. continue to get better Molly. Keep the faith Bob, Bernie and Katy. Thank you for the updates. They inspire us. hampton, virginia

Molly,
Don't you ever forget how beautiful you are on the inside and out. No one can compare to you - I only wish I could say I could do what you have done, but I don't think I could be as brave. Someday you will look back and forget alot of the unhappy memories because you will reach a place that is farther than most people reach. Keep up the great work. We all love and admire you.

Don't underestimate your power within. Molly would not be recovering the way she is if it weren't for the hospital but especially her family and friends. And...I bet you certainly would have the courge to do what she's doing, you're already doing it! You ARE why she is who she is, why she is, and what she will continue to be and become. Don't forget that, and don't sell yourself short. What you're going through is incredibly horrendous, that's just the bottom line. What you'll go through will continue to be challenging...and yes, VERY unfair. She's alive though, and young (which is a plus AND a minus), and with you as her pillar of strength, she will discover strength that most of us will never realize we have. Know that tragedy brings tears but triumph brings something far greater. God Bless and trust her Angels...and yours! They will carry you when you feel you can not take another step....

Hi Molly,
I just found your blog all the way over here in England and I just wanted to send you best wishes from another Molly. I hope that you continue to fight the challenges you face with success.
Your mom sounds a lot like mine.

Hi-

I am interested in speaking the Molly's mom, Bernadine. Is there some way that you could contact me?

My email is elanazak@hotmail.com

I am so sorry about your tragedy. At least Molly is still with you and she will, eventually, be able to live her life. It might not be the same as before, but she will always appreciate every breath she takes.

Best,

Elana Zak

To Molly and her family...

I came across your story on a news link from Channel 5 in Dallas, Texas. I was shocked and saddened to hear of the tragedy in your family.

I work for Camp Summit, a camp for children and adults with physical and/or mental disabilities. I have met some of the most amazing people, who have multiple disabilities and challenges.

I just wanted to tell you, Molly, that your heart, your courage and your attitude is just as amazing to me. Keep your head help up high, girl, because you are a light shining in this world - showing the rest of us how we should be.

Sending prayers and encouragement to the entire Bloom family!

Miss Molly-
Well, now it's official. You're a celebrity. You were mentioned in a ticker on the E! Entertainment network this afternoon. Jessica Beil's donation of a date to raise money for your cause has brought you into the national limelight (once again).

Take care, Molly, and keep making Paul Bunyon sprint to keep up.

Love from one more of those people following your story from across the country.

I hope that someone very close to the Blooms read this. Wouldn't it be great if that show Extreme Home Makeover could redo the Bloom's home and make it more accessible for Molly? I tried to nominate them but I think you need more "inside info" on the family to do a referral. perhaps someone out there reading this could nominate them more easily!

Hey Molly, Bernie, Bob, and Katy,

I'm back in town and so happy and excited to hear Molly is now in Rehab and was able to get some fresh air finally!

Molly, I'm hoping to stop by this week if I can find someone to watch the kids. If not, I'll catch you after we return from our rafting trip.

Keep getting stronger...things will get easier. You'll be going home sooner than you think. Keep up the great progress!

Love to you all,

Martha

PS. Happy Belated 18th Molly!!

Hi!

This blog is an inspiration. Keep it up. I can't believe you managed to post even on such a boring day in the hospital. Thank you for keeping us all in your life. You may never know how much good you have done, simply by being yourself.

I spent the weekend up at the Colorado Heritage Camp, this session was for the families with adoptees from India and Nepal. I worked with some children who were very challenged physically and I was so inspired by their adaptations.

It certainly helps in this life to have parents who love you...no matter where they came from!

Hang in there.

I first heard about Molly from E news, believe it or not. The story was brief so I wanted to look it up online. Molly has definitely touched my life and I will pass on her story to others. It's amazing how life can change in one instant. I see this tragedy as God seeing what an angel Molly is and making her a roll model for many others. She is an incredibly strong person to survive the accident she did. As tough as it is, I hope she realizes her pain and her suffering will subside greatly with time and also help other people recuperate as they go through their own personal tragedies - an incredible gift to possess. I do not know Molly, but her story is one that should be told. She is an incredible person and I wish you all the best in recovery. I genuinely hope she realizes the tough times she's incurring now will help make the world a little bit of a better place with the positive message she is sending! God bless! -Katie

Keep up courage, Molly! Though I live in Belgium and will probably not be able to actually go on that date with Jessica Biel, I will still make a nice bid!

I am from Germany and I've just read about what happened to Molly in a German newspaper. I was very touched and checked the news online to find out more.
I hope that she'll be able to recover as best as she can. It's outstanding that she's going through all of that with such strength.
Hope you get well soon Molly

I'm just a random 24 year old woman in Philadelphia, PA who has been touched by your blog. I wish Molly all the best, and can only hope that some sort of justice is served to the man that did this. I'm so sorry for the ordeal you are all going through, but I can see that Molly has great family support. Best of luck to you all, I'm so sorry that this had to happen to your family.
