I read a comment by someone who wants to know if we should have a Molly's law. Fact is, the Department of Transportation has pretty strict laws already. I know this because I am a professional driver. This was just one incident of a driver who didn't keep safety first in mind. You can't legislate against carelessness or stupidity.
Alex and Shambrea, you can come after 7:00. I can't guarantee that Molly will be awake. The Simpsons DVDs were perfect. Thank you.
Molly's doctors are changing her meds, taking her off the IVs and putting on patches, which will make her a little spacey for a while. Another step along the progress highway. She wants so badly to just get the hell out of the hospital. She will work hard to do just that!
We have no timelines for all of this, but I feel that Molly will be coming home way sooner than I ever thought. As soon as I say that, there will be more roadblocks to change that. We just try to take one day at a time, and a good day is a great day. Today was a good day.
Thanks Melissa! We love you.
Good night my beautiful girls. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite. Love you.

I bet you are right since Molly is such a valiant fighter, that she will come home way sooner than you thought.

To the Blooms,
We are so glad to hear that Molly is having several good days. I am sure her healing will be even faster once she is able to be at home.
It is amazing how much the Denver community has supported Molly. She must be an amazing person as well as you all as a Family.
I hope that Katy is doing well. I am sure that this has been an never ending nightmare for all of you.
Your Faith has been tried several times but also has held you all of you up. Keep praying as you have! Alot of people praying with you.
I look forward to seeing the blogg when Molly is going home.

Hi Bernie,
Wow, the progress is simply amazing and astonishing! I am so proud of Molly for working so hard to get out of there!

Will she have to spend time in a rehabilitation hospital or will it be a place she visits regularly until she can learn to walk again?

In addition, if this is okay to ask, I keep wondering how a family would rebound from this kind of thing financially - I can't even fathom it since insurance is so limited, but is the limo company's insurance assisting with her medical bills at least? I sure hope so!

Good luck to you all and good work to date!

Bernie,

I read where someone asked when Molly's birthday was. I was just thinking that it would be great if you could just give us the address of the hospital so that everyone could send her birthday cards. I was thinking that it might really raise her spirits to know how many people out there are thinking of her. It's just a thought. You don't even need to give out her birth date.

I hope you kept those clothes! With a few adaptations she should be able to wear some of her favorite things again. Do you know anyone who does alterations?
There are medical supply stores that sell all kinds of handy things, too.
(Could you put a big red S on something, for SuperWoman?)

Hello Bob, Bernie, Katy and Molly, Great people do great things. Molly is showing what she is made of and it's pretty special. She will recover faster and better than anyone could of imagined. God bless you all.
Bernie, I was thinking we haven't seen each other for twenty years. I want to tell you, I haven't changed much in the past twenty years. The only difference is, I am fatter, and look a whole lot older now. The other thing I was thinking of with a holiday almost here, is if we could get all our holidays to be obsereved on Wednesdays, we might conceivably wind up with nine day weekends. Something to think about. Stay strong and stay cool,
Denver Bob

Dear Molly-
Through no fault of your own, you are an inspiration. Not merely because of your Herculean strength, but also, it seems-as this tragedy has shown so many - (all who are "with" you in blog-land, in each ICU ward, on your swim teams, strangers across the globe, dearest family, et. at.,)—our own measure of endurance a bit more clearly, our own strengths or faiths, our own capacity for compassion. It's not fair for a young woman to shoulder this kind of response, and yet your shoulders are clearly so strong and capable. Guess swimming does that! ;)
May you always be able to lean on the broad shoulders of others, ones you've indeed helped create, for help when you need it. You are an Angel to so many, through no fault of your own, many have become better human beings because they've cared so much.
Thank you for surviving and fighting the 'good' fight!

Keep feeling better.
An East Angel family

To the Blooms: Best wishes for Molly's continued recovery. She's amazing, and so is her family. If Molly likes dogs, would she like some canine visitors? I am a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence. We have an active puppy raiser community in Denver and we'd love to bring some very well-behaved pups to visit sometime when she's ready for some puppy kisses.

Hey Molly, Bob, and Bernie!
I'm so sorry we couldn't come by last night. I had to stay at work way later than was expected. I wouldn't have been able to get there until around 9 o'clock and I didn't think that would be very nice to do in case Molly was resting. Tonight we have to completely be out of our old house and have everything cleaned, so it'll probably be a very late night again. But, we'll try again on my day off or once we're finally done with this moving stuff! I love you all though and I hope to see you all very soon. :)

That is amazing that she is making such awesome progress. I can't wait for Sunday. I'm so excited! *bounces happily* I hope it continues this way.
She must be happy to have all those needles and stuff out of her. I know I would be...I hate needles...
When Ryan and I get there, where should we look for Molly?

Molly, Bob, Bernie, and Katy,
We look in on the blog every day and the good news of the last several days is wonderful to read about.
The never-quit attitude that you and the talented medical staff of two (more?) hospitals in the face of an egregious situation is truely and inspiration. Keep taking it day by day and look ahead to better times.

Hey--
My name is Maya Stackhouse and I know the Havrenaks. Everyone is pulling for Molly. Rachel tells me how special Molly is and always will be. Well, I just felt that maybe I should leave a comment.

P.S.
I am on Monaco Marlins swimteam, and many cards from everyone on the team, including Taliah Hersch (who I think must know Molly), will be on their way soon.

Molly's progress is so encouraging. I continue to pray for her everyday. My new Notre Dame first grade students will pray daily for her as soon as school starts, and as always I know many people from our school community continually pray for Molly and your family. Keep the faith. God Bless all of you. Kathleen Daly Notre Dame

If there was a Molly's law it would be about how a system doesn't allow anyone less than an extremely competent driver behind the wheel of a limo full of kids. People like you Bernie who perform the job of transporting kids with the care, respect and professionalism it deserves should be honored and appreciated so that there is never a compromise when the keys are handed over. We are so very, very happy to know each day brings a little more progress. You need to know that there's not a swim (dive or synchro) meet in the metro area where the kids and parents don't have Molly close to their heart, in their thoughts (and on their caps, painted on their shoulders, backs...) As a timer at Ken Caryl I heard many kids (relay teams and individuals) saying we're swimming this for Molly... taking time off for Molly. We're collecting pledges, swimming, praying and hoping that Molly's recovery continues to take time off as well.
