Thanks for all the tips about phantom pain. I checked out quite a few of the web sites, talked to all of Molly's doctors, talked to Molly, and did some planning on my own. The MONSTER is in tune to a lot of ideas about how to deal with this pain. Thanks to everyone everywhere who is praying for and keeping Molly in their thoughts. You have held us up more times than you can imagine. You will keep Molly strong during these next phases of her recovery. Bless all of you!
Today was a good day. Her surgeon said that the flap is healing, the skin graft is taking, her temp is normal, and things are good! Today was a good day! Katy is staying with Molly tonight, so a little sisterly bonding will be great. No goofy mom or dad to moon over her and worry about every little sound. Thank you Katy. We love you so much!
My neice, Sarah, leaves us great comments. She works at Singing Hills Landscaping Company. Her boss is taking care of our yard for us. Thanks guys.
We also want to thank, again, the metro swim league and Denver Parks and Rec for having the Molly practices for her recovery fund. This city has become a small community and we are so grateful. We are truly blessed.
Lindsy, come on Wednesday. Molly is ready to see you.
Goodnight my sweet princesses. Have a great slumber party. We love you to peices.

Hi Molly, Katy, Bernie and Bob,

I wanted to say that all the way here in Israel you all have people praying for you. I wish I could be there myself to show support for all of you and visit Molly. I hope my brother gave some support when I was all the way here in Israel. I miss you Katy, and Molly even though I never got to know you so well, I can tell that you are so strong and will make it through this with a smile and wherever you go you will amaze people at your bravery.
Love and Prayers,
Rachel Siegel

EVERY day is getting better, every day is getting easier. Last night on the news there was a story about one of our young soldier men who had lost both legs in Iraq and how he vowed to take a run with President Bush when he got his new legs on. Well, yesterday he did that run with the president.
Molly WILL dance again.........
Hang in there Blooms, life is happening, one day at a time.

molly, you asked why so many people care about you and your healing...

you recall that harry potter became known as "the boy who lived"

you are "the girl who lived"

he is the "potter" and you are the "bloom"

Hello Bob, Bernie, Katy and Molly, I'm so glad Molly had a good day. It's nice to hear of the good things from this brave girl. There might be a few bumps in the road but the healing has started.
I had an interesting day yesterday. My grandparents were over last week and my grandpa found a Viagra bottle in my medicine cabinet. He said he wanted to try one. I told him they were strong and cost $10.00 a pill. He said he wanted one anyway and he'll send me the 10 bucks. Yesterday I got a check from him for $110.00. I called him and said, "Grandpa, I told you the Viagra pills were 10 bucks not 110 bucks." He said, "The ten is form me the extra hundred is from your grandma."
Stay strong and stay cool. Denver Bob

Bernie, I read your comments on Molly's recovery every couple of days. What you say about everyone holding you all up, goes both ways. Mollys positive attitude and her strength through this holds me up during my times of self-pity. She will find her way. Love to you all. Judy C

Hello.
Mrs. Blooom, I'm not sure if you were talking to me or not, but if you were, I'm hoping Sunday is a good day because Ryan works on the weekdays and he's usually pretty tired after work. We were planning on Sunday. :) I'm happy to know that she is ready to see us! I can't wait for Sunday now!
Hugs and Loves,
Lindsey

I have to say, seeing Molly this week was really nice. (Monday) When Katherine (KJ) asked her was she watching the family guy DVDs she responded with "heck yes". I'm pretty sure that made my week. Nice to hear the old Molly again.
Still thinking of ya'll constantly, and editing even more constantly.

Ask your doctors about Lyrica, a fairly new drug approved for nerve pain, particularly diabetic neuropathy. It may possibly work for the screaming nerves of phantom limb pain.

My prayers are with you and your family Molly. You are very strong! Your mom is so wonderful to write up this blog on your recovery. She is very supportive. You're an inspiration, Bloom family. I found a product called Farabloc (you can do an online search for it) that specializes in a drug-free phantom pain relief. Always remember the blessings in your life! God Bless.
