Dear Molly,
This one is just for you. Today, over 60 kids and adults are swimming around the clock to help raise money for your future. Some of them don't even know you. Some of them love you to pieces. This is a testament to who you have become. You are truly an old soul. You have always understood things way beyond your years. I hope that you can understand and cope with this tragedy as well as you have handled other traumas in your life. You seem to already be conveying that to us, although I don't know how much is real and how much is medication. But when you told Bob and I today that we didn't need to treat you like a baby, you made my heart soar. My Molly is back! My heart breaks when I think about how much more you have to endure, not only in the near future, but for the rest of your life. You may never understand this, but we get so much strength from you. You seem to have already gone beyond all the pain and are ready to move ahead. We will always be here for you when the struggle gets to be too much. You can take a break anytime. I will feed you ice chips until my fingers turn blue and fall off if that's what it takes to make you whole again. And your Dad and sister will do the same. We love you as much as life itself.
Sleep well little angel. See you in the morning. Love you.

I was at the swim-a-thon a couple of times for awhile today and it was "so you!" People are swimming all night and all day. Young and old(er), some in shape and some not, some you know well and some you don't. It just seems "so you!" I am going to go swim for an hour in the morning before I have to go into work. I don't even swim but I know that as I need strength I will think of you and lap by lap minute by minute I hope I can help get Molly back. It really is a wonderful feeling at the pool Molly, knowing that so many people are pulling for you.

Dear Molly,

Just a note to let you know that everyone is holding you tightly in their hearts. The swim-a-thon is such a tribute to how many people you have touched over the years, and we all want you back. We will be here for you, no matter how long it takes, to help however we can. But we also know that most of this challenge will be yours, body and soul.

However....you've got alot of unfinished work out here in the world, Molly, so keep fighting and heal strong! We love you.

Step by step--keep it up, girl! Standing is such a huge step for you. All your friends, including those who don't really know you, have taken their strength and inspiration from you during the swim-a-thon. What a remarkable young woman you are! Take good care,

I read your postings daily and pray daily for Molly. Keep strong Molly you are a beautiful young woman and I know the healing process will be a long one but you seem to be a fighter. To Mr. & Mrs. Bloom I know you both are very busy with Molly however someone needs to get in contact with the DA. I read your posting the other day about you had not heard a thing since the accident. GIVE ME A BREAK.....that is just ridiculous of the DA's office. The least they could do is to call and see how your daughter is doing and to comfort you both. I don't know the DA there in your town but if that was our DA here in Cheyenne, WY I would sure hope he/she was never voted back in. It angers me to know that man that injured your daughter is out on bond. I apologize for harshness but he needs to be hung. My question would be why was he not at the door of the limousine when the kids were getting into the Hummer? I am sure you have had the same questions. Don't give up, be strong. God is watching over your little angel. She will get better. I feel it in my heart. I send hugs to all of you (even though I am a complete stranger). It just brings tears to my eyes thinking what you all and even Molly are going through.

To the Blooms

I hope you could feel the hearts of the swimmers, parents, volunteers and community, being expressed during the 24 hour swim-a-thon as we all did who had the opportunity to be present. The rain did not dampen the spirits of the swimmers nor their intentions to be with Molly as she jouneys forward. I was told that Rocky Mountain News will have on its website beginning tomorrow pictures it took during the entire swim-a-thon ( www.rockymountainnews.com). May you continue to be protected and guided. Mollie,Bernie, Bob, and Katie, You are in our family's thoughts and prayers....

Dear Molly,
We were thrilled to see you today and you looked great. You are so strong and we were glad we got to talk to you. To your family, we could see all the support you are getting and we know it will continue! Thank you for being so welcoming.
We will see you again this summer and hopefully get together in Boulder! Molly I remember one time you made a DNA helix out of hemp and were so excited about biology and learning. "Amanda I LOVE biology!" You have so much ahead of you in college and in your future.
Lots of love...
Amanda and Fauve

It's tough to add anything to such a beautiful blog entry, Bernie, except that I'm crying as I write this. You are an amazing family. My prayers for you always.

What an amazing tribute the swimathon was to you Molly and your family. I was so honored and thankful to have been there and in a small way - taken part. Thanks to Dave, D Ray, Cindy, Karen, Peg, Joanne, Jeanne, and the many more who contributed time, energy and most of all hugs as we work together to provide what little we can in this challenging ordeal. There's just not one thing any of us wouldn't give for you Molly girl - you're are our inspiration. We're here for you and we're not going anywhere.

Dear Bloom family,

Just a note to tell you I think of you guys all the time and continue to pray for you. Bernie, your daily updates are so important for those of us who feel there's very little we can do to help, other than continue to hold Molly, Katy, you and Bob, in our thoughts and prayers. Friday's posting made me think "Way to go, Molly!" It's so wonderful to see a glimpse of her strength and resilience. And Bob, Bernie, and Katy, it's amazing to see how much love you continue to pour out to each other and especially to Molly in her time of need.

Molly,
I hear that the swimathon in your honor is going great. You should be proud of them, as they are of you. Be strong.

Jay

Bob, Bernie, and Katy,
It is really cool that you could get to the pool without being badgered by the paparazzi. I hate it when they go after me. Really pisses me off! :)
Molly is getting better. Remember, that all of you are in our hearts and prayers.
