Several good days in a row. Molly had a fun day because she got to order anything she wanted to eat. She had several visitors and Maggie made her laugh. It is good to see Molly behaving more like her old self. She is still heavily medicated, but every now and then, the real Molly shines through. She continues to heal well and the docs are pleased. It won't be long before she is off her IVs and the trach tube can come out. Progress with a capital P.
We received a box in the mail from Ken Caryl Swim Club today. The Ken Caryl invitational was last weekend and the sold hearts, fish, and butterflies to hang on the fence for Molly. They mailed all the cards to us. Thank you! Molly swam at the invitational at least 5 or 6 times and she always looked forward to it. And thanks to the girls who did the Bling for Bloom. All of this support is going to be so helpful. Molly will have big bills forever. We really appreciate everything everyone has done to help her.
Katy, Molly really had fun with you and Hannah last night. You allowed us to recharge our batteries. We needed that. Thanks!
Good night my lovelies. May the angles watch over you as you sleep. Love you.

How wonderful that Molly has had so many "GOOD" days. She really is on the road to recovery. Even though I know that she still has a tough road to travel, it really sounds like she has the foritude to make it. She will go on to do amazing things with her life and continue to inspire us all.

God Bless You all

Hi Molly,
My mother-in-law is a teacher in Denver and she emailed me your story. She is friends with Nancy, I guess the mother of your swimming coach, Cindy. I'm a youth pastor and my wife is a counseling pastor in Michigan and just wanted to let you know that we'll pray for you. May God bless and heal you in this time. May He protect, comfort and bring you encouraging times. Blessings on you and your family.
You are in our prayers,
~Howie & Nicole Snyder

Hello Bob, Bernie, Katy and Molly, When I read there were several good days in a row, it really makes my day. I'm so glad to hear that. God bless you all once again.
I took my wife to lunch yesterday and we got in a fight at the resturant. On the drive home it was total silence. The resturant was in the country so as we're driving by a farm I saw a couple of mules and jackass's in the farmers field. I looked at my wife and said, "Are those realatives of yours?" She said, "yea, in-laws."
Stay strong and stay cool, Denver Bob

Another inspirational story involves the captain of the U.S. soccer team, Landon Donovan. His former girlfriend, now his fiancee, has a brother who recently lost both his legs in a train accident in Prague. The story started with pictures of the family by his hospital bedside, wondering if he was going to survive. It ended with video of this gorgeous young man strongly swimming the butterfly. Maybe someone could find that piece for the family?

Molly!
Alex and I are thinking of you and missing you. We just wanted to let you know that we are trying to find our Scrubs DVD's asap, but moving was a mess and we don't know where anything is!! :) But, we'll try to get those to you this week. I can't wait for the day you get to come see our new place. You'll like it a lot! Keep being strong sweetie. You are amazing everyone with how hard you are trying and all that you are accomplishing. I don't think I've ever written that word before, it looks weird to me...maybe I just spelled it incorrectly. Anyway, we love you and we want you to know that we're going to try to visit you soon. In fact, Bob and Bernie, I'm done with work around 7. Would that be too late? I'll call tonight to double check. If you would like us to bring you some dinner, call me at 303-882-0306 to let me know what you'd like and I'll bring it! :) I love you guys too.

Hello Molly,
My name is Marissa, I live in Southern California and I recently graduated from high school. Although I do not personally know you, I am aware of your story. My mom told me about you right after my own prom. I just wanted to let you know that your strength has truly touched me, in more ways than I thought possible. I wanted to thank your family for posting your story and progress. Molly, because of you I live each day with a different view on life, I value the little things so much more. I know that it may seem strange that my outlook on life has changed so much because of you, and I don't even know you, but I wanted to let you know that you have touch more people than you can imagine. I know that you didn't ask for any of this to happen to you, but the strength you have shown is beautiful and inspires people your age not to take being young for granted. You are in my thoughts and I know that you will continue to live an amazing life.
Stay strong Molly.

Marissa

Dear Bloom Family

Thanks, Bob, for your kind note and I, too, hope to meet Molly as we so often have talked about our Molly's over the years. Are all Molly's as awesome as ours???

Every day I lie on my back perfectly still for 1/2 hour of radiation and I think and pray for all of you. For me it is a good time to count multiple blessings and pray for those who especially need God's loving embrace. It is hard sometimes to find the sunshine when there are such gloomy days. My hope for you is that the rainbow appears soon.

Love to you all. Bill, Kathy, Molly and Casey Fortune

Hi,

How wonderful to hear Molly is now having more good days !

Is there anything you would like the community (or us) to do to help bring about some potential future improvements in the enforcement / requirements of commercial drivers?

Please let us know if you would like us to try to help bring about future change.

Maybe something like a 'Mollys Law -- Improved Chauffer Licensing Requirements and Enforcement.'

Warm wishes,

Leigh S.

Molly's baby steps to recovery are turning into huge leaps! Molly's spirit and strength inspire us all as does the strength of your family. Alex and Shambre, I can't think of better Angels than you two to lift someone's spirit. Hopefully soon everyone will be able to visit Molly at home!
