These past 8 days since we left the hospital have been quite a flurry of activity. Molly does about 2 hours of exercise every day to build up her strength. She is starting to get a pretty good sense of balance, but still has a lot of challenges to face. Her attitude is good and she still has quite a few visitors every day. Thanks, you guys, for coming to keep her company.
Our house is closer each day to being ready for Molly to come home to. The Home Builders Foundation is helping us with the retrofit. This organization is pretty wonderful. They do about 50 to 60 retrofits a year for people with special needs. There are quite a few companies and individuals that donate materials, labor and money to make these projects happen. I will go into more detail about this when I have names of people to thank specifically. In the meantime, if you would like to help others in need, go their website www.hbf denver.org to get information on how you can help.
Our friends have stepped up and done so much work here that I don't recognize my house. God bless all of you. I may have to put all of you on the deed.

Congratulations! I know you can't wait to get home and get settled in again. When I'm feeling down I just come to you page to get inspiration. What a wonderful and inspiring family you are. Molly hang in there, you are an amazing young woman. Life threw you a lemon and you found a way to make lemonade for a world of supporters out here for you. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello Bob, Bernie, Katy, and Molly, I have to agree with the last post that Molly is one amazing young woman. I am so glad to hear things are going as well as they are. You did get handed a lemon and made lemonade. Oh and Bernie, the reason you have such good friends, is you are such a good friend. That's the way it works. May God continue to bless this wonderful family.
Speaking of families my Uncle Vinnie is visiting me from New York City. He said he is starting to miss New York. So last night I put a humidifier in his room and filled it with urine.
I also have to tell you of something that happened to me last week. I was walking down the street and a homeless approached me. He asked me for some money for food. I took out my wallet, extracted ten dollars and asked, "If I give you this will you use it to buy beer." "No I had to quit drinking five years ago because I have a bad liver" the homeless man replied. "Will you use it to go fishing" I asked. "No, I can't waste my time fishing, I'm just trying to stay alive" the man replied. "Will you spend the money in the red light district instead of buying food," I asked. The man replied, "Are you crazy, what kind of disease would I get for ten bucks." So I told him that I wasn't giving him the ten bucks, but I was taking him home with me, and my wife would cook him a terrific home cooked meal. So when we got to my house my wife asked me why I brought him home. She said he was dirty and the smell was disgusting. I told her that I wanted to show her what a man looks like after he gives up beer, fishing and sex.
Stay strong and stay cool.

Hi to everyone,
I tried to write a comment last week, but couldn't get on to the site. I am so glad that Molly is out of the hospital and doing well. I know you can't wait until you are all in your own home. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. I do not know where you are staying so I can't visit.
I am going on a mystery girls trip on Thurs. and I will be back Sun.
Bernie, we still need to set a time for our rendezvous.
You are all in my thoughts,
Marga
