May 13, 2007

Today is the anniversary of Molly's injury. This has been a very difficult week for me. Molly continues to push forward and learn how to do things for herself. For this, we are very grateful. She has such motivation and perserverance. Last year Mother's day was one big blur. This goes out to all the mothers who spent the day in the hospital with us and those who spent that day giving us support. Thank you for your unselfish kindness and compassion. Here's hoping that this Mother's day was very special and wonderful for all of you. My prayers go out to all the moms who may be experiencing what we did last year. I wish all of you good health, joy and abundance. Love to you all.

Happy Mother's Day, Bernie.

There is no one who more beautifully demonstrates the depth of love and commitment and energy and determination it takes to be a mom. Molly is so lucky to have such a role model in her life. I pray that you were surrounded by good memories on this mother's day, and that you could find time to cherish the fact that both of your babies were here to say "I love you" to you today.

Happy Mother's Day, Bernie. I'm glad that Molly continues to do well. Both of your girls are so lucky to have a mother like you. Please let Molly know that she's still thought of, even by people she's never met!

Hello Bob, Bernie, Katy, and Molly, Happy Mothers day to you Bernie. Today May 23rd, is one year to the day that I first heard of Molly's accident. Look how far she has come in one year. What a strong willed young lady. The love you and your family have shown the world on these pages the past year, have a lot to do with her healing. You all are very special. May God continue to bless you all.
My wife took our dog to the vet because she has trouble hearing. The vet said it was hair in the ear amd cleaned it out. He told my wife to put Nair in the dog's ear once a month and the problem should not come back. So my wife went to the drug store to get the Nair. The druggist said,"If this is for your armpits, don't use deodorant for a week." My wife told him it's not for her armpits. He then said, "If this is for your legs, don't shave for a week." My wife said, "It's not for my legs either, it's for my Schnauzer." The druggist said, "Don't ride your bicycle for a week."
Stay strong and stay cool,
Denver Bob

Bernie, It gives me comfort to visit this website. I am also in Colorado. My daughter Ria (30 yrs old) lost her right leg below the knee on 30 July 06 as a passenger on a motorcycle. She had been an active snowboarder and plans on getting back up on the slopes soon. She has had another surgery on her right shoulder 1 May 07. Sometimes I get down. But, when I look at my child, I must remember that even though my heart aches for her, she is handling so much more. Thanks for the boost I get when I visit your website. Marie (mother of two sets of twins)

I can understand Molly not wanting her life laid out for public view. I'm glad this Mother's Day was a much happier affair. I haven't been by for a while, but a young girl in town asked about Molly today. I had told her about Molly's situation last year, because she was badly injured in a car accident. I thought I'd stop by today.

I hope you will occasionally post a comment on what Molly is doing. She is entitled to have her life back, no question. I guess a lot of us would just like to know that she got it.

Hi,

Yesterday I found this blog searching for information regarding the same condition that Molly has, I've read most of the posting and seen the progress she has done since. She's a very brave girl and with a great support of family and friends.

I just met a little girl (8 years old) that had an accident similiar to Molly's,only that she was riding in the back of a motorcycle, This happened 2 week ago and we (my office) would like to help and take her out of the Country, (Dominican Republic/Caribbean Island)She's from a very poor family. How can I go about contacting Dr. Moore, Dr. William Brown etc.

My personal email is marialugos@yahoo.com

Any information or organization that will fund this little girl that you can give me will help a lot.

Thanks and god bless you all, and Molly Bravo you are great.
